Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part replaces the Mi A3 front camera when it is blurry, black, frozen or no longer launches in photo and video conferencing apps. It is fitted in place of the current part, connecting the module to the screen ribbon cable.
Before you start, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if your skill level allows it. Work on a clean surface and use suitable tools. Protect the components from static electricity by avoiding unnecessary contact with the connectors. Do not force fragile connectors and do not bend the ribbon cable. Moderate heat is enough to loosen the screen if necessary.
Once fitting is complete, switch the device back on and test the camera before fully closing the casing. Check sharpness, brightness and operation in a photo app and during a video call. If the battery was disconnected, reconnect it carefully. Never use a swollen or damaged battery.
