Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the Nexus 4, lets you replace the faulty front camera of your phone. It mainly fixes the most common faults: blurry image, black screen when activating the front camera, or no image at all in video apps.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your skill level allows. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid static electricity that could damage the components. Use suitable tools to open the chassis without forcing it, and handle the ribbon cables with care.
After fitting, check that the camera works in the camera app and during a video call before fully closing the phone. If the battery was removed, reconnect it and make sure the phone starts normally. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and do not puncture or bend it.
