Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for video calls, selfies and unlocking certain apps. This compatible part replaces the current front camera when it no longer works, shows a blurred, black or distorted image, or when its ribbon cable is damaged.
Before you start, switch off the tablet and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable screwdriver and a plastic spudger to avoid scratching the chassis. Protect yourself from static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components.
Once the fitting is complete, reconnect the battery, then check the front camera in the camera app and during a test video call. If the image remains weak, check the position of the ribbon cable and that the module is securely fixed.
