Description
This compatible front camera replaces the selfie module of your Huawei Nova 8i (2021). It is used to take photos and videos of yourself, as well as for video calls and unlocking the phone depending on the device configuration. It is useful when the image is blurry, dark, frozen or distorted, or when the front camera no longer appears in apps.
Before you start, switch off the smartphone completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable screwdriver and a tray to store the small screws. Handle the ribbon cable with care and avoid static electricity by regularly touching an earthed metal surface. Do not bend the ribbon cable and never force the connectors.
Once fitting is complete, check that the front camera is properly recognised in the camera app, test photo and video capture, then check the focus and colours. If the result is not satisfactory, recheck the ribbon cable connection before concluding that the part is faulty.
