Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front module of the HTC One M9. It is used for taking selfies and making video calls. When it is faulty, the image may be blurred, black or missing, and the camera app may display an error.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and use a small suitable screwdriver along with a flat tool to open the case without forcing it. Note the position of the screws and connectors to make reassembly easier.
Once the part is fitted, check that the camera works before closing the casing completely. Test front photo and video, as well as focus. Handle the ribbon cable carefully, without bending or pulling it, so as not to damage the connector.
