Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part replaces the current module when it no longer works, for example if the image is blurry, black or distorted, or if the front camera no longer opens in apps.
This part is a third-party manufactured product, known as compatible, and not an original part. Before you start, switch the device off completely, prepare a clean, well-lit workspace, and use suitable tools to open the casing without forcing it. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and avoid any contact with the components: static electricity can damage the circuits.
After fitting, check the camera works before closing the device: test a selfie, a video call and focus. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and do not puncture or bend it.
Tips
- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before any work
- Handle the ribbon cables carefully to avoid tears
- Avoid static electricity: work on an anti-static surface
- Do not force the frame clips when opening
- Test the camera and focus before closing the casing
Fitting
Fitting guide: work with the device switched off, disconnect the battery before touching any flex cable, keep the screws in order and test the part before closing up. A question before ordering? Write to us.
