Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies, video calls and face recognition unlocking. This part, compatible with the One S, lets you replace a faulty front camera: blurred, black or frozen image, no display during video calls or an error message from the camera module.
Before fitting, switch off the device and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable tool and without forcing the connectors. Watch out for static electricity, which can damage components, and do not bend the flexible cables. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and never puncture it.
After replacement, check that the camera is detected in the settings and test it with a photo app and a video call. Refit the cover only once operation is confirmed.
