Description
The front camera is the photo and video module on the front of the smartphone, used for selfies, video calls and video conferences. This compatible OnePlus 12R part lets you replace a faulty or damaged module. The most common faults are a blurred, black or distorted image, false colours, impossible focusing, or a camera that no longer appears in apps.
Before disassembly, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery when the procedure requires it. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable tool and without forcing the ribbon cables, which are fragile. Protect yourself from static electricity by avoiding synthetic mats and touching a metal surface before handling components.
After reassembly, switch the device back on and open the camera app to test the front camera, then check the autofocus and screen flash if your model has one. If the battery was disconnected, let it charge normally. Never puncture or bend a lithium battery, and stop using a phone whose battery is swollen.
