Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the OnePlus 3, lets you replace a damaged or non-working front camera. It can fix common faults such as a black, blurred or distorted image, or a camera that no longer appears in apps.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Work on a clean, flat surface with a suitable tool to open the casing without forcing it. Protect yourself from static electricity by avoiding carpets and touching a metal surface before handling components. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery, and never use a device whose battery is swollen.
After fitting, reconnect the battery and check the camera before closing the phone completely. Test photos, videos and calls to confirm that everything works properly. If the result is not satisfactory, reopen the device to check that the ribbon cable is correctly connected.
