Description
The front camera, also called the selfie camera, is the small module at the top of the screen used for selfies, video calls and face recognition. This part is compatible with the OnePlus 3T and lets you replace a faulty or damaged module, for example if the image is blurry, black or distorted, or if the camera no longer opens.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables. Work in a clean place on a flat surface, with an opening tool and small screws kept well organised. Avoid static electricity by discharging yourself on a metal surface. Handle the ribbon cables gently, without bending them or forcing the connectors.
After fitting, reconnect the battery and check that the front camera works in the camera app, that focus is correct and that the proximity sensor responds during a call. If your device's battery is worn, it is advisable to keep an eye on it during the first few days and not to let it overheat.
