Description
The front camera is the small module that captures images of your face for video calls, selfies and face unlock on the OnePlus 5. This compatible part replaces the current module when it is damaged, shows a blurred or black image, or no longer launches in apps.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your skill level allows. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, as static electricity can damage electronic components. Use suitable tools and do not force the connectors or ribbon cables. A lithium battery must never be punctured or bent; if it is swollen, stop using it.
Once fitting is complete, switch the device back on and test the camera before closing the casing. Check sharpness, brightness and the operation of face unlock. If the image quality seems different from what you expect, check the position of the module and that the ribbon cable is properly secured.
