Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies, video calls and face unlock when this feature is enabled. This compatible part is designed for the OnePlus 7. It lets you replace a damaged module, for example when the image is blurred, black, distorted or missing, or when the camera no longer opens in apps.
Before disassembly, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery where the procedure requires it, so you work without any risk of short circuit. Protect the components from static electricity, work on a clean surface and avoid touching the connectors unnecessarily. Handle the ribbon cables with care and use suitable tools so they are not bent. Moderate heat is enough to loosen the screen if necessary.
After fitting, check the camera before closing the device completely: test the front camera app, video recording and face recognition. If your battery was disconnected, carry out a few full charge cycles to make sure the device is generally stable. Never use a swollen or damaged battery, and never puncture it.
