Description
This module is a replacement front camera compatible with the OnePlus 7 Pro. It is a third-party part, offered as an economical solution to restore the device. It is used for taking selfies and video calls. If your front camera no longer works, shows a blurred, black image or no image at all, or if the camera app no longer detects it, this component may be the cause of the fault.
Before you begin, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery when the procedure requires it. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid touching the gold-plated contacts of the ribbon cable. Use suitable tools, do not force the connectors and do not bend the ribbon cable. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and never puncture it.
Once fitting is complete, switch the device back on and test the camera before fully closing the casing. Check the focus, brightness and operation of the camera and of video calls. If anything seems abnormal, reopen the device and check the ribbon cable connection. Moderate warmth during use remains normal.
