Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the OnePlus 7T, lets you replace a damaged module, for example if the image is blurry, black or missing, or if the camera no longer opens in the camera app.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and work on a clean, well-lit surface. Use suitable tools, such as a suction cup and a set of plastic spudgers, to open the screen without forcing it. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and avoid touching electronic components to limit the risks of static electricity. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery, and stop using the device if the battery is swollen.
Once the assembly is finished, check that the camera is recognised in the camera app and test focus, brightness and video calls. Also make sure the ribbon cable is correctly clipped in before closing the phone. If the camera still fails, check the other connected components before drawing any conclusion.
