Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the front of the phone, near the screen. It is used for selfies, video calls and unlocking certain apps with facial recognition. This part, compatible with the OnePlus 9R, lets you replace the current one when it is blurry, black, frozen or no longer activates.
The most common faults are a pixelated or distorted image, a camera that no longer opens, or a dark area in photos. Before starting, switch off the device, work on a clean surface and use a suitable tool to open the phone. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables, and avoid static electricity by keeping in contact with a metal surface.
After fitting, check that the camera displays properly, that autofocus works and that no lines appear on the screen. Never puncture or bend the battery, and stop using the device if it appears swollen.
