Description
The front camera is the photo module located on the front of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the OPPO Reno15 5G, lets you replace a faulty module: blurred, black, distorted or missing image in the camera app.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model's procedure requires it. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, to avoid discharging the part. Gently warm the edges of the screen with a heat gun on a moderate setting to soften the adhesive, never going above a mild temperature, then open with a suction cup and a flat plastic tool.
After fitting, check the camera in the camera app, in selfie and video mode, then test the video call. Also check that the proximity sensor and the screen respond correctly. Never force the ribbon cables and check that no battery is swollen before any work.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables
- Use moderate heat to loosen the glass without weakening it
- Avoid electrostatic discharge by touching an earthed metal object
- Do not puncture or bend the lithium battery
- Test the camera, screen and proximity sensor before reassembling
Fitting
Fitting guide: work with the device switched off, disconnect the battery before touching any flex cable, keep the screws in order and test the part before closing up. A question before ordering? Write to us.
