Description
The front camera is the small camera module on the front of the device. It is used for selfies, front-facing photos and video calls. This compatible part is intended for the P10 (2017) model. It allows you to replace a damaged front camera, which may produce a blurred, dark or distorted image, or stop working altogether during a video call.
Before you start, switch the device off and, if possible, disconnect the battery. Work on a clean, flat, well-lit surface with small, suitable tools. Touch an earthed metal surface to limit static discharges. Handle the ribbon cable with care, without bending or pulling it, and disconnect it cleanly. After fitting, check the front photo and video, the microphone, the screen brightness and the operation of the device before closing it up completely.
Safety: never puncture or bend the lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using the device and do not try to charge it. Avoid any excessive heat source during the repair.
