Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. When it stops working, the image stays black or blurry, or the phone no longer detects it in the camera app. This compatible front camera is designed to replace the current part in the Huawei P20 Lite (2018) and restore front-facing photography.
Before you start, switch off the device and disconnect the battery to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools, and protect yourself against static electricity. The ribbon cables are fragile: never force a connector and handle them by the edges.
Once the fitting is complete, reconnect the battery and open the camera app to test the front camera, then check focus and video calls. If your phone's battery is swollen, stop using the device and do not puncture or bend the battery.
