Description
This compatible front camera replaces the selfie module of your Huawei P20 Pro. It is used to take photos and videos facing the screen, as well as for face recognition when the device supports it. When it fails, you often see a blurred, black, frozen or missing image in video call apps and the front camera.
Before you start, switch the smartphone off completely and disconnect the battery if your technical skill allows. Work on a clean surface, use anti-static tools and avoid bending or forcing the very fragile ribbon cables. Moderate heat is enough to loosen the glass if needed, without ever overheating the device.
Once the fitting is complete, check that the camera is recognised in the settings and test it in the camera app and in a video call app. If the phone has a swollen battery, stop using it and do not try to puncture or bend it.
