Description
The front camera is the small module that captures your photos and videos in selfie mode, as well as your video calls. If your P30 Pro (2019) no longer shows the image from the front camera, the picture is blurry or the camera no longer launches, this module is often the cause. This compatible part is designed to replace the faulty front camera on this model.
Before fitting, switch the smartphone off completely and remove the battery if you are comfortable doing so, or at the very least disconnect it before touching the ribbon cables. Work on a clean, flat surface with a flat plastic tool to lift the connectors without bending them. Avoid static discharge by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components. Never force a connector and do not bend the ribbon cables.
Once the part is installed, switch the device back on and test the camera before closing the casing fully: open the camera app, switch to selfie mode and start a test video call. If the battery was disconnected, one or two full charge cycles help the whole system settle in properly.
Tips
- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before any work
- Use a flat plastic tool to avoid bending the ribbon cables
- Avoid static electricity: touch a metal surface beforehand
- Test the camera before closing the casing
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery
