Description
The front camera is the small module that captures your selfies and video calls. This compatible part is designed for the Huawei P40 (2020) and lets you replace a faulty or damaged module. It is made by a third party, as is the case with compatible parts.
It fixes the most common faults of this module: blurry or black image, frozen camera screen, distorted selfies or video calls that won't start. Before you begin, switch the phone off completely, remove the case and prepare a suitable opening tool and good lighting. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static wrist strap or by regularly touching a metal surface to avoid static electricity. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables.
After fitting, check the function in the camera app, testing the front camera and the flash, then make a video call. If the battery was disconnected, reconnect it carefully. Do not puncture, bend or use a swollen battery.
Tips
- Switch off and disconnect the battery before any work
- Use an anti-static tool and work on a clean surface
- Handle the ribbon cable carefully so it is not bent
- Check the front camera and a video call after fitting
- Do not force the connectors and avoid any excessive heat
Fitting
Fitting guide: work with the device switched off, disconnect the battery before touching any flex cable, keep the screws in order and test the part before closing up. A question before ordering? Write to us.
