Description
This compatible front camera replaces the selfie module of the Huawei P8 Lite (2017). It is used to take photos and videos from the front, for video calls and video conferences. If your selfie is blurry, dark, frozen or missing, the front camera may be the cause, as may a damaged or poorly connected flex cable.
Before fitting, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface, with a small suitable screwdriver and a plastic tool to lift the screen without scratching the chassis. Protect yourself from static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the part. Do not bend the flex cable and avoid excessive heat during removal.
Once the new camera is installed, reassemble the device without forcing it, switch it back on and test the front and rear cameras, video calls and brightness. Check that the screen and touch respond correctly. If a fault persists, recheck the flex cable connection.
