This front camera is a compatible part designed for the Huawei P9 Lite (2016). It captures the photos and videos taken on the screen side, notably for video calls and selfies. When it is faulty, the image may be blurry, dark, frozen or missing, and the camera app may show an error. Replacing the module usually restores a sharp image and normal operation of the front camera.
Before you begin, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface with a suitable screwdriver and, if possible, an anti-static wrist strap or regular contact with a metal surface to limit static electricity. Handle the ribbon cable with care, without bending it or pulling on the connectors, and avoid excessive heat during disassembly.
Once the part is fitted, power the device back on and open the camera app to test the front camera, focus and brightness. Also check the seal of the assembly before closing the phone fully. If the image remains abnormal, check that the ribbon cable is properly seated before concluding that the part is faulty.
