Description
The front camera is the camera module located on the front of the phone. It is used for selfies, video calls and facial recognition when this is enabled. When it is damaged, the image may be blurred, black, distorted or absent from the camera app.
This compatible front camera is intended for the Pixel 10. It is a part made by a third party, not a part from the phone manufacturer. Before fitting, switch off the device, disconnect the battery if your skill level allows, and work on a clean, flat surface. Use suitable tools and an anti-static wrist strap if you have one to limit the risks linked to static electricity. Never force the ribbon cables and do not bend the connectors.
After reassembly, check that the camera works correctly in the camera app, during a video call and for facial recognition. Also check the seals and that the chassis is properly closed. If the battery swells or appears damaged at any point during the repair, stop using it.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any repair
- Use an anti-static wrist strap to protect the components
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery
- Do not force the ribbon cables and handle them with care
- Test the camera before fully closing the phone
Fitting
Fitting guide: work with the device switched off, disconnect the battery before touching any flex cable, keep the screws in order and test the part before closing up. A question before ordering? Write to us.
