Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the Pixel 11 screen. It is used for selfies, video calls and unlocking with facial recognition when these features are enabled. When it fails, the image may be blurred, black or absent, and some face-related functions may no longer respond.
This part is an original manufacturer camera, or an official « Service Pack » part. It delivers the same picture quality as a new module. Before you start, switch the phone off completely, work on a clean surface and use a suitable screwdriver and a suction cup to lift the screen carefully. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and avoid static discharge by touching an earthed metal surface before touching the components.
After fitting, check the camera in the photo app, then test video calls and facial recognition. Make sure the seal is properly in place and that the screen has no play. If the battery has been disconnected, also check its condition: a swollen phone must no longer be used.
