Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front module of the Google Pixel 3 XL, the one used for selfies, video calls and facial recognition. When it is damaged, the image can become blurry, dark, frozen or disappear completely, and some video conferencing apps no longer detect it.
Before you start, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if the method requires it. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable tool to open the casing without forcing it. Keep the screws in a small container so they do not get lost. Avoid static electricity by regularly touching a metal earth, and never bend or puncture the lithium battery: if it is swollen, stop using the phone.
Once fitting is complete, switch the device back on and test the camera before fully closing the casing. Check the sharpness, brightness and the operation of facial detection. If the original part was faulty, it is advisable to keep it until your tests are finished.
