Description
The front camera is the camera module located on the front of the phone. It is used for selfies, video calls and face recognition to unlock the screen. When it fails, the image may be blurred, black or missing, and face unlock may no longer work.
This part is a front camera compatible with the Pixel 6. It is a third-party manufacture, not a part sold by the phone manufacturer. It replaces the current part after removing the screen or front panel, depending on the model. Before you start, switch off the device, back up your data and work on a clean, well-lit surface.
During fitting, disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface and never force the connectors. After reassembly, check start-up, the front camera image and face unlock before fully closing the device.
