Description
The front camera is the camera module located at the front of your Google Pixel 6. It is used for selfies, video calls and face recognition to unlock the phone. If the camera window no longer shows an image, if front photos are blurry or if the device can no longer unlock the screen by face, this part may solve the problem.
This front camera is an original manufacturer part, or an official Service Pack part. It delivers performance and battery life identical to new. Before you start, switch the phone off completely and place it on a clean, flat surface. Work in a well-lit area, with an anti-static mat if possible, to avoid discharge on the components.
Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables. Do not drill or bend the lithium battery and never use a device whose battery is swollen. Once fitting is complete, check that the front camera app opens, face unlock works and the image is sharp.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any work
- Work on a clean surface, protected from static electricity
- Do not fold the ribbon cables and handle them with care
- Do not heat the phone beyond a moderate temperature
- Check the camera and face unlock after fitting
Fitting
