Description
This compatible front camera replaces the front module of a Google Pixel 6 Pro. It is used for selfies, video calls and video conferences. It is useful when the image is blurry, black, frozen or distorted, or when the front camera no longer launches in apps.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your skill level allows it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid any contact with electronic components. Open the device with suitable tools, without forcing it, and gently disconnect the camera ribbon cable before removing the old module. Take a photo of the original assembly so you can keep track of its layout.
Once the module is fitted and the device is closed, switch the phone back on and test the camera before screwing on the final cover. Check sharpness, focus and video call apps. For a new or replaced battery, carry out a few full charge cycles to stabilise its operation.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any work.
- Use an anti-static mat and avoid touching the contacts.
- Disconnect the ribbon cable carefully, without bending or forcing it.
- Test the camera before fully closing the device.
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery; do not use a swollen battery.
Fitting
Fitting guide: work with the device switched off, disconnect the battery before touching any flex cable, keep the screws in order and test the part before closing up. A question before ordering? Write to us.
