Description
The front camera, also called the selfie camera, is the small camera module on the front of your Google Pixel 9. It is used for video calls, selfies and face recognition unlocking when this is enabled. When it is faulty, you may notice a blurred, black, frozen or distorted image, or no image at all in photo and video conferencing apps.
This part is an original camera from the manufacturer, taken from the official Service Pack range. It delivers the same image quality and battery performance as new, since it is the same component fitted at the factory. Before you start the replacement, switch the phone off completely, place it on a clean surface and protect it from static electricity. Disconnect the battery before handling any ribbon cables, and never force the connectors.
Once fitted, switch the device back on and test the camera before fully closing the casing. Check sharpness, exposure and operation in several apps, then confirm that the seals and water resistance are properly in place.
