Description
The front camera is the small camera module on the front of your Pixel smartphone. It is used for selfies, video calls and video conferencing. When it is damaged, the image can become blurry, black, or stop displaying altogether.
This part is a compatible front camera, made by a third party. It is offered as an economical solution to replace the faulty module. It replaces the current camera without changing the rest of the device, provided you check compatibility with your Pixel model before purchase.
Before you begin, switch off the device and disconnect the battery to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface and use anti-static protection. After fitting, test the front camera and autofocus in several lighting conditions.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any intervention
- Check compatibility with your Pixel model before fitting
- Handle the ribbon cables carefully, without bending or forcing them
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery
- Test the camera, flash and focus after reassembly
