Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the Poco M5, lets you replace the current component when it no longer works properly. The most common faults are a blurred, black or distorted image, or a camera that is no longer detected in apps.
Before you start, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean surface and keep static electricity under control, for example by touching an earthed metal surface. Take the time to identify the connectors and ribbon cables carefully before disconnecting them, and never force a cable.
After fitting, check that the camera works before closing the device completely: test photo and video capture, and check focus and lighting. If a battery is present and swollen, do not use it. Never puncture a lithium battery and do not bend it.
