Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the Poco M6 4G, lets you replace a faulty module. The most common faults are a blurred, black, distorted or missing image in photo and video conferencing apps.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, to avoid electrostatic discharges that can damage components. Use suitable tools and suction cups to separate the screen without forcing it, as the ribbon cables are fragile.
After fitting, check that the camera works in the photo app and during a video call, and check that focus and colours are correct. If the phone has been opened, make sure the seals and fixings are properly restored before using it normally again.
Tips
- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before any work
- Work with an anti-static mat to protect the components
- Handle the ribbon cables gently, they tear easily
- Test the camera in the photo app and during a video call
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery; do not use a swollen battery
Fitting
Fitting guide: work with the device switched off, disconnect the battery before touching any flex cable, keep the screws in order and test the part before closing up. A question before ordering? Write to us.
