Description
The front camera, also called the selfie camera, is the small camera module at the top of the screen. It is used for video calls, selfies and facial recognition. When it is faulty, the image may be blurred, black, frozen or missing during a video call.
This front camera is a compatible part designed for the Poco M6 Pro 4G. It is made by a third party and offers an affordable solution for replacing the current part when it no longer works properly. Before you start, switch the phone off completely, disconnect the battery if possible and work on a clean, flat surface. Avoid static discharge by touching an earthed metal surface.
Once the fitting is complete, switch the device back on and test the camera before closing the chassis completely. Check image sharpness, the screen flash function and facial recognition. Handle the ribbon cables carefully, without bending or pulling them, and make sure all connectors are properly reconnected.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any work
- Handle the ribbon cables gently, without bending or forcing them
- Avoid static electricity by working on an earthed surface
- Test the camera before fully closing the device
- Never puncture or bend the adjacent lithium battery
