Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part is designed to replace the Poco M7 4G front camera when it is damaged, or when the image is blurry, dark, frozen or missing in photo and video conferencing apps.
Before starting, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface with a suitable opening tool, and avoid electrostatic discharge by touching an earthed metal surface first. Carefully remove the current part without forcing the ribbon cables, then fit the compatible camera, making sure the connector is properly positioned.
After fitting, switch the phone back on and test the camera before closing the device completely: open the camera app, switch to selfie mode, then start a video call. Check sharpness, brightness and the absence of background noise. If the image remains abnormal, reconnect the ribbon cable and check the fixing.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before disassembly.
- Never force the ribbon cables: they tear easily.
- Test the camera before closing the housing.
- Use an antistatic workstation to avoid burning out the module.
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery during the repair.
