Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part replaces the current module when it is cracked, blurry, black or no longer starts. It is designed for the Poco M7 Pro 5G and fits in place of the old camera without changing the rest of the device.
Before you begin, switch off the phone and prepare a small screwdriver, a suction cup and a plastic spudger. Work on a clean, flat surface and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal object first. Disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables, and never puncture or bend the lithium battery. If it is swollen, do not try to reuse it.
After fitting, switch the device back on and test the camera before closing it completely. Check the sharpness, the image orientation and that the screen works. If the image stays black, reconnect the ribbon cable. Keep the device at a moderate temperature while you work.
Tips
- Switch off and disconnect the battery before any repair
- Work on a clean, flat surface free of static electricity
- Do not force the ribbon cable when connecting the connector
- Test the camera before closing the phone
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery
