Description
The front camera is the photo module located on the front of the device, used for selfies, video calls and facial recognition authentication. This original manufacturer part, or official "Service Pack" part, is intended for the Q8 (2017) model. It lets you replace a damaged module, for example if the image is blurry, black or missing, or if the camera no longer launches in apps.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery when the procedure requires it. Work on a clean, flat surface, protected from static electricity, and keep the small screws in a tray so they don't get lost. Handle the ribbon cables carefully, without bending them or forcing the connectors.
After fitting, switch the device back on and test the camera before closing the casing completely. Check focus, brightness and operation in several apps. If a lithium battery is swollen, stop using it and do not try to puncture or bend it.
