Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for taking selfies and making video calls. This compatible part is designed for the Realme 7i. It replaces the faulty module when the image is blurred, black, frozen or distorted, or when the device no longer detects the front camera.
Before you start, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean surface with suitable tools, and avoid static discharge by touching an earthed metal surface. Do not bend the ribbon cable and do not force the connectors.
After fitting, check that the camera works in the photo app and in a video call app, then check sharpness and colours. If the device overheats or if a battery appears swollen, do not use it.
Tips
- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before any work
- Avoid electrostatic discharge during fitting
- Do not bend the ribbon cable and never force the connectors
- Test the camera in the photo app and in a video app
- A swollen battery must no longer be used
Fitting
Fitting guide: work with the device switched off, disconnect the battery before touching any flex cable, keep the screws in order and test the part before closing up. A question before ordering? Write to us.
