Description
The front camera is the small module that captures your selfies and video calls. It is usually located at the top of the screen, near the proximity sensor. This compatible camera replaces the current part when it no longer works: blurred, black or frozen image, or a complete absence of video feed in camera and call apps.
Before fitting, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean, clear surface with a suitable screwdriver and a flat plastic spudger. Handle the ribbon cable with care, as it is fragile, and limit static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before you start.
Once the part is fitted, switch the device back on and test the camera before fully closing the casing. Check sharpness, brightness and face recognition. If the image remains abnormal, redo the fitting and check that the ribbon cable is correctly connected.
