Description
The front camera, also called the selfie camera, is the small module at the top of the Realme C33 screen. It is used for selfies, video calls and face recognition unlocking when this feature is enabled. When it stops working, the image may stay black, blurred or distorted, and the camera app may show an error.
This compatible front camera is a third-party part, offered as an affordable alternative to replace the faulty module. It is designed to fit the Realme C33 model. Before disassembly, switch off the phone, remove the battery if your device allows it, and work on a clean, clear surface. Use an anti-static wrist strap or regularly touch an earthed metal surface to limit electrostatic discharge.
After fitting, check the function before closing the device completely: test the front photo and video, video calls and face recognition if you use it. Never puncture, bend or compress the lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using the phone.
Tips
- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before any work
- Avoid any contact with the ribbon cable and handle the part by its edges
- Work in a clean, dust-free place and use suitable tools
- Check the camera before closing the phone again
- Do not overheat the device during the repair
