Description
The front camera is the small camera module on the front of the Redmi 12, used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part lets you replace a faulty module. It fixes common faults: blurry image, black screen on the camera side, camera not detected by the app, or no picture during a video call.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and limit static electricity. Do not puncture or bend the lithium battery: if it is swollen, stop using the device. Keep moderate heat during disassembly.
After fitting, check sharpness and brightness in the camera app, then test a video call. Refit the covers without forcing them. If the camera is still not detected, check that the connection ribbon is properly clipped in.
