Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies, video calls and facial recognition. When it no longer works, the image stays black or blurred, the camera app shows an error, or face unlock stops responding. This compatible front camera is designed to replace the faulty module on a Redmi 15 4G.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with suitable tools, and never force the connectors or ribbon cables, which are fragile. A lithium battery must never be punctured or bent; if it is swollen, stop using it and store it safely away.
Once the fitting is complete, switch the device back on and test the front camera in the camera app, then during a test video call. Also check facial recognition if you use it. If the part is a compatible part, a slight adjustment of the image or a small colour difference can be normal: take the time to compare a few photos.
