Description
The front camera is the photo module on the front of the device, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the Redmi 17C 5G, lets you replace a faulty module.
It notably fixes a blurred or black image, abnormal colours, a camera that no longer launches, or an error message linked to the front camera. Before you start, switch off the phone, remove the case and prepare a small screwdriver, a suction cup and a tray to store the screws.
Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, work in a clean place and avoid static electricity, for example by touching an earthed metal surface. Never puncture or bend the battery, and do not use a device whose battery is swollen. After fitting, check the camera's operation and image sharpness before fully closing the phone.
Tips
- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before any work
- Use a suction cup and a plastic tool to open without forcing
- Keep the screws in a tray so you do not lose them
- Avoid static electricity and work on a clean surface
- Test the camera before closing the phone
