Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This part, compatible with the Redmi 9, lets you replace a damaged module, for example if the image is blurred, black or distorted, or if the camera no longer appears in apps.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it, to avoid any short circuit during disassembly. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and use suitable tools so you don't scratch the screen or bend the ribbon cables. Handle the new part by its edges to limit electrostatic discharge.
Once the module is fitted, reconnect the battery, switch on the device and open the camera app to test the camera before closing the casing. Check sharpness, brightness and that video calls work properly. If your device's battery is swollen, stop using it and never puncture or bend it.
