Description
This replacement front camera is designed for the Redmi A1 Plus. It sits on the front face of the phone and is used for video calls, selfies and facial recognition. If your front camera is blurry, black, no longer switches on or shows spots, a replacement may be enough to restore a correct image. This is a compatible part, made by a third party.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if the model allows it. Work on a clean surface with suitable tools and an anti-static mat if possible. Avoid touching the gold contacts of the flex cable unnecessarily, as static electricity can damage the components. Never bend the flex cable and do not force the connectors. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and do not try to puncture it.
After fitting, reconnect the battery, switch on the device and test the camera before closing the casing. Check the image in the camera app, during a video call and in varying light. If the previous part was faulty, compare the result with another device to confirm it works properly.
