Description
The front camera is the small module that captures your image for selfies and video calls. It is usually located at the top of the screen, on the front side. This compatible camera for Redmi A5 4G lets you replace a faulty module, for example when the image is blurred, black, distorted or missing in the camera app.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, to limit the risks linked to static electricity. Handle the ribbon cable carefully, without bending or pulling it, and use tools suited to opening the device. Keep the heat moderate during disassembly.
Once the part is installed, reassemble the device, switch it back on and test the front and rear cameras: photo, video, brightness and focus. Also check that the ribbon cable is properly clipped in and that the screen remains stable. If the image still looks abnormal, recheck the connections before concluding.
Tips
- Switch the phone off before any intervention
- Disconnect the battery if your model allows it
- Handle the ribbon cable without bending or pulling it
- Test the camera before fully closing the device
- Avoid excessive heat during disassembly
