Description
The front camera, also called the selfie camera, is the small module at the top of the screen used for selfies, video calls and unlocking the phone with facial recognition. This compatible part is designed for the Redmi Note 11. It replaces the current module when it is cracked, no longer focuses, shows a blurred or black image, or no longer responds at all.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools so you can open the device without forcing it. Discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal object. Take the time to locate and carefully disconnect the ribbon cable before unscrewing the module.
Once the part is fitted, reconnect the battery and switch the phone on. Test the front camera, facial recognition and video calls. Check that the screen responds correctly to touch around the repaired area. If the old part was damaged by moisture, dry the inside thoroughly before reassembly.
Tips
- Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery
- Avoid excessive heat during the repair
- Test the camera and facial recognition before closing the device
- Do not force fragile connectors
