Description
The front camera is the small camera module at the top of the screen, used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part replaces the faulty module of the Redmi Note 12S. It suits common faults: blurry, black or missing image, a frozen capture screen, or a camera that no longer launches in apps.
Before you start, switch the smartphone off completely and disconnect the battery if the model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with a suitable opening tool and suction cups to lift the screen without bending it. To avoid electrostatic discharge, regularly touch an earthed metal surface. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and never puncture or bend a lithium battery. If the battery is swollen, stop using the device.
Once the part is fitted, reassemble everything without forcing it, then switch the phone back on and test the front camera and its access permission in apps. Keep the device moderately warm during the test and check sharpness, focus and the absence of noise on the image.
