Description
The front camera, also called the selfie camera, is the small module at the top of the screen used for selfies and video calls. This compatible part replaces the faulty module of the Redmi Note 4X, for example when the image is blurry, black, distorted or missing in the camera app.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and remove the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and avoid any contact with electronic components. Use suitable tools, and do not force the connectors or the ribbon cable, which is fragile.
After fitting, switch the phone back on and open the camera app to test the front camera for photo and video. Also check sharpness, brightness and the absence of lines or spots. If the previous part showed signs of impact or moisture, check the other nearby components before closing the phone.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any work
- Handle the ribbon cable with care, without bending it or forcing the connector
- Use an anti-static mat to limit the risks linked to static electricity
- Test the camera for photo and video before closing the phone
- Never puncture or bend a lithium battery; do not use a swollen battery
Fitting
Fitting guide: work with the device switched off, disconnect the battery before touching any flex cable, keep the screws in order and test the part before closing up. A question before ordering? Write to us.
