Description
The front camera is the small camera module on the front of the device. It is used for selfies, video calls and video conferences. This compatible camera is designed for the Redmi Note 7 and replaces a damaged module. Common faults include a blurred, black or distorted image, or a camera that no longer appears in photo apps.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface with a suitable tool, and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface. Do not force or bend the cables when removing the parts.
After fitting, test the camera in the photo app and during a video call, before closing the device completely. If the battery is swollen, stop using it. Do not puncture or bend the lithium battery, and avoid excessive heat.
